What Does the Lawsuit Allege?

The proposed class action alleges that Combe engaged in false, misleading, or deceptive marketing and labelling practices that harmed consumers.

It is further alleged that consumers suffered serious injuries after using Just for Men products. These products have been sold in Canada for more than 25 years. In recent years, however, numerous reports have emerged of consumers experiencing severe and extremely painful reactions following their use, including individuals who had used the products for years without previously experiencing any adverse effects.

It is alleged that Class Members experienced one or more of the following after using Just for Men products:

Skin blistering;
Severe itching;
Swelling and rashes;
Painful burning sensations;
Scarring; and
Weeping sores.

Alleged Violations of Consumer Protection Laws

The lawsuit alleges that Combe violated Canadian consumer protection laws by:

Failing to adequately warn consumers of the serious health risks and potential side effects associated with the use of Just for Men products; and
Manufacturing and marketing products that allegedly caused or contributed to serious adverse reactions without adequately disclosing those risks to consumers.
